Best Futures Prop Firms in 2026

This guide ranks the four futures prop firms we review in full: Topstep, Tradeify, My Funded Futures (MFFU) and Take Profit Trader (TPT). Each wins for a different kind of trader. Every reason below comes from each firm's official site, checked on 3 November 2026.

How we picked

We compared the same points at every firm:

  • Total cost: one-time vs monthly fees, activation fees and resets.
  • Drawdown type (static, end-of-day trailing or intraday trailing) and daily loss rules.
  • Minimum days and consistency rules.
  • Profit split, payout timing and caps.
  • Platforms and restrictions on news, overnight holding and bots.

We don't use pass rates or review counts, because firms rarely publish them in a form we can check.

Quick picks

  • Best established firm: Topstep.
  • Best one-time-fee evaluation: Tradeify.
  • Best low-cost entry and static drawdown: My Funded Futures.
  • Best for fast withdrawals: Take Profit Trader.

Topstep: best established firm

Topstep has run from Chicago since 2010. It sells a one-step Trading Combine on a monthly subscription, in 50K, 100K and 150K sizes.

Why it stands out

  • $49 a month for the 50K Standard Path, or $95 a month on the No Activation Fee Path.
  • End-of-day trailing max loss that locks at the starting balance.
  • Daily loss limit is optional; adding one cuts the No Activation Fee price by $10 to $30.
  • You can pass in as few as two days.
  • A defined route from Express Funded Account to live funding.

Downsides

  • The subscription rebills every 30 days until you pass or cancel.
  • The Standard Path adds $149 activation per Express Funded Account.
  • A 55% consistency target in the Combine.
  • TopstepX is the only platform, and payouts are capped per request.

Tradeify: best one-time-fee evaluation

Tradeify is based in Boca Raton, Florida. It sells Growth and Select evaluations and Lightning instant-funded accounts.

Why it stands out

  • One-time fees from $99 (Growth 25K), with no activation fee on any account.
  • End-of-day trailing drawdown across its programs.
  • Growth has a 1-day minimum and no evaluation consistency rule.
  • Select has no daily loss limit.
  • 90/10 split on Sim Funded accounts and five platform options.

Downsides

  • Three account types with different rules.
  • Growth has a daily loss limit ($1,250 on 50K); Select has a 40% evaluation consistency rule.
  • Lightning costs $345 to $796 and can't be reset.
  • Payout caps per period, and all sales are final.

My Funded Futures: best low-cost entry

MFFU sells Builder, Rapid, Rapid EOD, Pro and Studio plans, all with one-time fees and $0 activation.

Why it stands out

  • Studio #003 costs $75 for a $5K account, the lowest futures entry we track.
  • Studio plans use a static max loss, with no daily loss limit and no consistency rule.
  • Code CLUB takes 40% off any plan, per the official site.
  • Rapid and Rapid EOD pay daily at 90/10.
  • The widest platform list here, including NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView and Quantower.

Downsides

  • Per-size prices aren't clearly published on plan pages.
  • Funded Rapid accounts switch to intraday trailing drawdown.
  • Builder and Pro pay 80/20 with payout caps.
  • Studio accounts are small ($5K to $20K) and have a daily profit cap.

See the official Studio guide and our My Funded Futures review.

Take Profit Trader: best for fast withdrawals

TPT sells a one-step Test on a monthly subscription, from 25K to 150K.

Why it stands out

  • PRO accounts can withdraw from day one, with no minimum profitable days and no maximum withdrawal.
  • Payouts typically arrive within one business day, per the firm.
  • 3 minimum days, and a consistency breach doesn't fail the account.
  • Code NOFEE50 gives 50% off for life and no activation fee, per its homepage.

Downsides

  • Monthly billing, and base Test prices weren't on the pages we checked.
  • PRO uses an intraday trailing drawdown and an 80/20 split; PRO+ pays 90/10.
  • Withdrawing from inside the PRO buffer closes the account.
  • Funded accounts must be flat around FOMC, NFP and CPI.
  • TPT's help center lists daily loss limits of $500 to $3,300 by size. Confirm which account types they apply to.

See the official drawdown rule and our Take Profit Trader review.

Side by side at 50K

  • Topstep: $49/month + $149 activation, or $95/month; $3,000 target; $2,000 EOD max loss; optional daily loss.
  • Tradeify Growth: $145 once; $3,000 target; $2,000 EOD max loss; $1,250 daily loss.
  • MFFU Builder: $153 once; $3,000 target; $2,000 EOD max loss; $1,000 daily loss.
  • TPT Test: monthly, check site; $3,000 target; $2,000 EOD max loss; $1,100 daily loss listed in its help center (confirm scope).

The targets and max loss match. The real differences are billing, daily limits and funded rules.

What all four share

  • No overnight holding.
  • No time limit on the evaluation.
  • CME futures as the main market.
  • Rules that change often, so recheck before each purchase.

How to choose

  1. Estimate how long you'll take. If you'll pass in under a month, Topstep's subscription can be cheapest. If not, a one-time fee at Tradeify or MFFU usually wins.
  2. Pick your drawdown. Static (MFFU Studio) is the most forgiving. End-of-day is next. Intraday is strictest. See trailing vs static drawdown.
  3. Check the daily limit. Our guide to daily loss limits explains why it matters.
  4. Read the funded rules. Splits, caps, buffers and drawdown can change after you pass.
  5. Confirm your platform. Topstep runs only on TopstepX.

Frequently asked questions

Which futures prop firm is cheapest?

MFFU Studio #003 at $75 is the lowest one-time price. Topstep's $49 a month looks lower but rebills and adds activation on the Standard Path.

Which pays out fastest?

TPT PRO and MFFU Rapid both offer daily payouts. TPT allows withdrawals from day one.

Which has a static drawdown?

Only MFFU's Studio plans. The other evaluations here trail on an end-of-day basis. A static floor never moves, which makes risk easier to plan. Our drawdown calculator shows where your floor sits.

Can I trade news?

Mostly yes in the evaluation, with limits once funded. TPT funded accounts must be flat around FOMC, NFP and CPI. MFFU restricts Tier 1 news on funded accounts. Topstep bars putting your full position into a major release.

Which has no activation fee?

Tradeify and MFFU. Topstep has a No Activation Fee Path. TPT's NOFEE50 code waives it.

Bottom line

Topstep is the most established. Tradeify suits patient traders who want a fixed fee. MFFU offers the cheapest entry and a static option. TPT has the most flexible withdrawals. Compare them side by side on our comparison page and check codes on prop firm discounts.
