Pros
- End-of-day trailing drawdown in the Test that stops at the starting balance
- Daily withdrawals from day one in PRO with no maximum amount
- Only 3 trading days minimum; a consistency breach does not fail the account
Cons
- Test is a monthly subscription and base prices are not on the official pages we reviewed

- News blackouts on funded accounts and no overnight holding
- Help center lists daily loss limits of $500 to $3,300; confirm which accounts they apply to
Verdict: Take Profit Trader (TPT) runs a one-step Test with end-of-day trailing drawdown. Its help center lists daily loss limits of $500 to $3,300 by account size; confirm which account types they apply to. Its standout feature is the payout policy: PRO accounts can withdraw daily from day one, with no maximum withdrawal amount. The catches are a monthly subscription and per-size prices that are hard to find on official pages. PRO funded accounts also switch to intraday drawdown.
Plans and prices
TPT offers Test accounts from $25K to $150K: 25K, 50K, 75K, 100K and 150K. The Test is a subscription. TPT's homepage tells traders to "purchase the subscription that meets your needs." It also says a failed Test costs at most $360. TPT's official pages we checked today do not list a base price per account size, so check the checkout page for current figures.
Activation, resets and recurring fees
- PRO activation: TPT's homepage comparison lists a one-time $130 fee. Promotions such as NOFEE50 waive it.
- PRO+ activation: no fee when you move up from PRO.
- Test resets: optional and unlimited, from $79 depending on account size.
- PRO resets: up to 3 resets.
- Monthly fees once funded: TPT states there are no ongoing monthly fees on PRO or PRO+ accounts.
The subscription model means cost depends on how long you take. A trader who passes in the first month pays one cycle. A trader who takes three months pays three. Compare that with one-time-fee firms on our comparison page.
A lifetime discount changes this maths. A 50% lifetime promo halves every monthly cycle, not only the first one. That makes a slower pass far less expensive. Check whether the code you use is "for life" or first month only before you buy.
Because per-size prices are not published on the pages we reviewed, we show "Check site" for TPT fees in our rules tables. We will update them once TPT lists prices on an official page.
Evaluation rules
The Test is a single step. Hit the profit target, trade at least three days and stay above the trailing drawdown.
Maximum trailing drawdown
- $25K: $1,500
- $50K: $2,000
- $75K: $2,500
- $100K: $3,000
- $150K: $4,500
The drawdown is end-of-day trailing. Your minimum balance starts at account size minus the drawdown, then follows your highest end-of-day balance. It stops trailing once it reaches your starting balance. TPT's example: a $25K account that makes $1,000 on day one moves its floor from $23,500 to $24,500. See the official drawdown rule for details.
Other Test rules
- Profit target: our database lists 6% on every size: $1,500, $3,000, $4,500, $6,000 and $9,000. Part of this data is from third-party sources, so confirm it at checkout.
- Daily loss limit: TPT's help center lists daily loss limits of $500 (25K), $1,100 (50K), $1,600 (75K), $2,200 (100K) and $3,300 (150K) in its Test rules. Its PRO rules say the daily loss limit works the same way as in the Test. Confirm which account types they apply to before you trade.
- Consistency: no single day can reach 50% or more of the profit target. Breaking it does not fail you; you keep trading until your best day falls below 50%.
- Minimum days: three trading days.
- Overnight holding: not allowed.
- News: allowed in the Test. Funded accounts must be flat around major releases such as FOMC, NFP and CPI.
- Contract limits: vary by size. Check the account parameters table on TPT's site.
Use our drawdown calculator to see where your floor sits after a few winning days. Our consistency rule guide explains how a soft 50% rule changes your plan.
Funded account and payouts
Passing the Test moves you to a PRO account. TPT may later invite traders to PRO+.
PRO
- Split: 80% to the trader.
- Drawdown: intraday trailing, which is stricter than the Test's end-of-day method.
- Buffer: equal to the account's drawdown. Profits above the buffer are withdrawable.
- Withdrawing inside the buffer: closes the account, and those profits are paid at a 50% split.
- Frequency: daily, from day one.
- Limits: no minimum profitable days, no payout window, no payout delay and no maximum withdrawal amount.
- Consistency: none once funded.
PRO+
- Split: 90% to the trader.
- Drawdown: end-of-day for new PRO+ accounts from 30 June.
- Buffer: none.
- Activity: at least one trade per week to keep the account active.
- Payouts: same policy as PRO, with no scaling plan.
The drawdown switch deserves attention. In the Test, only your closing balance moves the floor. In PRO, the floor trails your intraday peak, including open profit that you give back. A trade that runs up and reverses can tighten your floor before you close it. Consider trading smaller in your first weeks of PRO while you adjust.
You can hold up to five funded accounts while still trading Test accounts. The buffer rule is the key detail. On a $50K PRO, profits up to the $2,000 drawdown amount act as a cushion. Pulling from that cushion ends the account. Plan your withdrawals with our profit calculator.
Platforms
TPT supports more than 15 platforms across two data feeds:
- CQG: NinjaTrader, TradingView, Tradovate.
- Rithmic: R|Trader, Quantower, MotiveWave.
Your platform choice decides your data feed. If you already use NinjaTrader or TradingView, the CQG route keeps your setup. If you prefer Quantower or MotiveWave, you go through Rithmic. Confirm which feed your platform needs before you buy, since switching later may mean new setup.
Markets are futures on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX. Check TPT's site for rules on trade copiers and automated strategies before you connect one.
Who it suits / who should skip
Good fit if you
- Value end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks at your starting balance.
- Want daily withdrawals with no maximum once you clear the buffer.
- Trade on TradingView, NinjaTrader, Tradovate or a Rithmic platform.
- Want a soft consistency rule that does not fail the account.
Skip it if you
- Want to know the exact price per size before you reach checkout.
- Prefer a one-time fee. TPT bills the Test monthly.
- Dislike intraday trailing drawdown. PRO uses it.
- Want 90% from the start. PRO pays 80%; PRO+ at 90% is invite-only.
- Trade major news or hold overnight on funded accounts.

FAQ
Does Take Profit Trader have a daily loss limit?
TPT's help center lists daily loss limits of $500 (25K), $1,100 (50K), $1,600 (75K), $2,200 (100K) and $3,300 (150K) in its Test rules. Its PRO rules say the daily loss limit works the same way as in the Test. Confirm which account types they apply to before you trade. The trailing drawdown is the other main risk rule.
Is Take Profit Trader's drawdown end-of-day or intraday?
The Test uses end-of-day trailing that locks at the starting balance. PRO switches to intraday trailing. New PRO+ accounts use end-of-day.
How soon can I withdraw from a PRO account?
From day one, daily, for profits above the buffer. Withdrawing from inside the buffer closes the account and pays those profits at 50%.
Does failing the consistency rule fail the Test?
No. If one day reaches 50% or more of the target, you keep trading until your best day is under 50%.
