- Wide platform choice across MT4, MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader
Our Review
Pros
- Static (non-trailing) drawdown on all Stellar evaluations, no time limits
- Fast payout cycle on 1-Step and a 15% reward on challenge-phase profits
- Wide platform choice across MT4, MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader
Cons
- No EAs on $50K+ accounts; smaller MT4/MT5 accounts pay an extra EA fee, and cTrader/Match-Trader allow no automation
- 1-Step and Lite fees refunded only with the 3rd reward
- Base split is 80%; 95% requires an add-on
FundedNext is a strong pick for budget-conscious forex and CFD traders who want a fixed loss floor. Every Stellar evaluation uses a static max loss measured from the starting balance, and none has a time limit. Entry starts at $32.99 for a $5,000 Stellar Lite account. The trade-offs sit in the fine print: EAs cost extra and are barred on $50K+ accounts, two of the three fees come back only with your third reward, and a 40% rule cuts funded news profits.
Programs and prices
FundedNext was founded in 2022 and is registered in the UAE. Its CFD range has three main Stellar evaluations. It also sells Stellar Instant accounts and separate futures programs, which this review does not cover.
Stellar 2-Step
- $6,000: $59.99
- $15,000: $119.99
- $25,000: $199.99
- $50,000: $299.99
- $100,000: $549.99
- $200,000: $1,099.99
Stellar 1-Step
- $6,000: $65.99
- $15,000: $129.99
- $25,000: $219.99
- $50,000: $329.99
- $100,000: $569.99
- $200,000: $1,099.99
Stellar Lite
- $5,000: $32.99
- $10,000: $59.99
- $25,000: $139.99
- $50,000: $229.99
- $100,000: $399.99
- $200,000: $798.99
Stellar Lite is the cheapest route at every size. It pays for that with lower loss limits than the 2-Step. The 1-Step costs slightly more than the 2-Step at most sizes but skips the second phase.
A simple way to choose:
- Pick the 2-Step if you want the widest loss limits (5% daily, 10% max) and the fastest fee refund. You need more patience: two phases and at least five trading days in each.
- Pick the 1-Step if you want one phase and weekly-style payouts. Accept a much tighter 6% max loss and a 3% daily limit.
- Pick Lite if price is your main concern. Its targets are lower (8% and 4%), but so are its limits (4% daily, 8% max).
Whichever you choose, work out the dollar value of each limit first. On a $100,000 2-Step, the static floor sits at $90,000 for the whole evaluation. On a $100,000 1-Step, it sits at $94,000. Our profit target calculator shows how much you need to make per day at different paces.
Trading rules
All three Stellar evaluations use a static max loss. The limit is set from your initial balance and does not trail your gains. The daily loss limit counts realized and unrealized P&L, plus swaps and commissions. It resets at 0:00 server time. FundedNext lists these definitions on its trading objectives page.
Stellar 2-Step
- Profit target: 8% in Phase 1, then 5% in Phase 2.
- Daily loss limit: 5% of initial balance.
- Max loss: 10%, static.
- Minimum trading days: 5 per phase.
- Time limit: none.
Stellar 1-Step
- Profit target: 10%.
- Daily loss limit: 3%.
- Max loss: 6%, static.
- Minimum trading days: 2.
- Time limit: none.
Stellar Lite
- Profit target: 8% in Phase 1, then 4% in Phase 2.
- Daily loss limit: 4%.
- Max loss: 8%, static.
- Minimum trading days: 2 per phase on standard plans. FundedNext's page says on-demand plans need 5 per phase.
- Time limit: none.
The 1-Step's 6% max loss against a 10% target is the tightest ratio of the three. A losing streak of a few full-size trades can end it. Size positions with our position size calculator before you start. For background on why static floors matter, read our trailing vs static drawdown guide.
News and weekend rules
News trading and weekend holding are allowed in the challenge and on the funded account for all three programs. One rule changes the maths once you are funded. On FundedNext Accounts, only 40% of profit from winning trades opened or closed within 5 minutes either side of listed high-impact news counts toward your balance. Losses on those trades count in full. The rule covers only news that directly affects the symbol you trade. Challenge accounts are exempt. See FundedNext's news trading article for examples.
The 2-Step page also lists a 3% maximum risk at any time. Check how FundedNext defines it before you scale into trades.
Payouts and profit split
Payout timing differs by program. The 1-Step is the fastest.
- Stellar 1-Step: first reward after 5 business days, then every 5 business days.
- Stellar 2-Step: first reward after 21 days, then every 14 days.
- Stellar Lite: first reward after 10 days, then bi-weekly.
Fee refunds also differ. The 2-Step refunds your fee with the first reward. The 1-Step and Lite refund it only with the third reward. If you stop after one or two payouts, you never see that fee again.
FundedNext advertises a reward share of up to 95%. The 2-Step and Lite comparison tables list 80%, and the higher share is tied to add-ons. The 1-Step page states "up to 95%" without a base figure. Confirm the split shown at checkout before you pay. On the 1-Step and 2-Step, FundedNext also pays 15% of the challenge profit target at the first scale-up. Its pages list this as $117 on a $6,000 2-Step and $90 on a $6,000 1-Step.
Platforms and instruments
FundedNext supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match-Trader. TradingView works for analysis only; FundedNext says its execution feature is temporarily paused. Two restrictions are worth knowing:
- $100,000 and $200,000 accounts are not available on cTrader or Match-Trader, except for US traders on Match-Trader.
- US traders can only use Match-Trader.
If you want a $100,000 or $200,000 account outside the US, plan to use MT4 or MT5. Pick carefully, because you cannot buy, change or reset those sizes on cTrader or Match-Trader.
Markets include forex, indices, commodities, crypto and stocks. Expert advisors are allowed only on MT4 and MT5 accounts under $50,000, and carry an extra EA usage fee. Accounts of $50,000 and above must trade manually. Tools that only set stop loss, take profit or lot size count as EAs too. cTrader and Match-Trader allow no EAs or automated trading at any size. See FundedNext's EA article. Full details are in FundedNext's platform help article.
Who it suits / who should skip
FundedNext suits you if
- You want a loss floor that never moves. All three Stellar evaluations are static.
- You want a low entry price. Stellar Lite starts at $32.99.
- You want frequent payouts. The 1-Step pays every 5 business days.
- You trade manually on MT4 or MT5.
Consider skipping if
- You run EAs. They are banned on $50,000+ accounts and on cTrader and Match-Trader, and smaller MT4/MT5 accounts pay an extra EA fee.
- You trade high-impact news on a funded account. The 40% rule shrinks those wins.
- You want a quick fee refund on the 1-Step or Lite. It waits for your third reward.
- You want a long track record. FundedNext started in 2022; FTMO has run since 2015.

When does FundedNext refund the challenge fee?
With your first reward on the Stellar 2-Step. With your third reward on the Stellar 1-Step and Stellar Lite.
Can I trade news with FundedNext?
Yes, in the challenge and on the funded account. On funded accounts, only 40% of profit from winning trades within 5 minutes either side of high-impact news counts.
Are EAs allowed at FundedNext?
Only on MT4 and MT5 accounts under $50,000, and you pay an extra EA usage fee. Accounts of $50,000 and above must trade manually, including tools that only set stop loss, take profit or lot size. cTrader and Match-Trader allow no EAs or automation.
