Notes

The FTMO 1-Step $100K is a 1-Step challenge from FTMO on a $100K account. It costs €499. Here are its rules in plain English, from our database row last checked against FTMO's official pages on 3 November 2026.

What you need to pass

  • Profit target: 10% ($10,000).
  • Daily loss limit: 3% ($3,000). Losing more than this in one trading day breaks the rule.
  • Maximum drawdown: 10% ($10,000), an end-of-day trailing limit: the floor moves up only from your closing balance each day, not from intraday highs.
  • Minimum trading days: none stated in our data.
  • Time limit: Unlimited.
  • Profit split once funded: 90% to you.

Trading rules

  • News trading: Allowed during evaluation; restricted on funded Standard account (Swing not offered for 1-Step).
  • Overnight and weekend holding: Allowed during evaluation; not on funded Standard account.
  • EAs and automation: Allowed.
  • Consistency rule: Orders from Oct 2026: best day must be <=50% of total profit (replaces legacy Best Day Rule of <=50% of positive days' profit). Not a breach; keep trading until satisfied. Official pages give conflicting start dates (5 Oct vs 12 Oct 2026).

What it means in practice

As an illustration, risking 1% of the account per trade ($1,000) gives you room for 3 full losses in a row before the daily limit and 10 before the maximum drawdown. Many traders size smaller, around 0.25–0.5%, so a bad day can't end the account. Use our position size calculator to turn a dollar risk into lots or contracts.

Because the drawdown trails, track your current floor before each session, not just your starting balance. The drawdown calculator works it out.
