The5ers has added a futures program, but its core is still MT5 challenges on currencies, metals and indices. Pick your market before you pick a firm; our guide to forex vs futures prop firms helps. Current deal: TPT's site runs an Early Black Friday offer. Code NOFEE50 gives 50% off for life on Test accounts and no PRO activation fee. It is a limited-time promotion with no end date shown. Official offer page.

What this means: The5ers costs the same however long you take. TPT's cost grows each month you stay in the Test. With NOFEE50, a 50K Test works out to about $85 a month.

Profit targets and loss limits

The5ers

  • High Stakes: 10% then 5% targets, 5% daily loss, 10% max loss, 3 profitable days per step. Official rules.
  • $100K 2-Step plan: 3% daily loss, 10% max loss from the initial balance, no consistency rule during the evaluation.
  • 1-Step: 10% target, 3% daily loss, 6% max loss, 50% best-day rule.
  • Futures: 6% target, 4% max loss measured end-of-day, 40% consistency per position. Official futures page.

Take Profit Trader Test

  • Targets (6%, per our rules database): $1,500 (25K), $3,000 (50K), $4,500 (75K), $6,000 (100K), $9,000 (150K).
  • Max drawdown: $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $3,000 and $4,500. Official drawdown rule.
  • Daily loss: none, per our rules database; TPT's homepage shows it removed.
  • Minimum days: 3.
  • Consistency: no day may exceed 50% of net profit. Breaking it raises your target instead of failing you. Official consistency rule.
  • Position limits: 3 to 15 contracts by size, or 10 times that in micros.

Drawdown type

The5ers' 2-Step max loss sits 10% below the initial balance and doesn't move. TPT's Test floor trails your highest end-of-day balance and stops rising at the starting balance. On a 25K Test, it starts at $23,500 and locks at $25,000.

Once funded, TPT's PRO account uses an intraday trailing drawdown, per our rules database, so it follows open profit. PRO+ uses end-of-day. Try the numbers in our drawdown calculator.

Payouts and splits

The5ers

  • Bi-weekly payouts after reaching the Pro stage.
  • High Stakes: 80% base, up to 100% with scaling. Caps are $3,000 (50K) and $4,000 (100K).
  • Cheaper 2-Step and 1-Step plans: 75/25, $250 minimum, $2,000 cap per cycle.
  • Part of the fee is returned as Hub Credit, which can't be withdrawn.

Take Profit Trader

  • PRO: 80/20, withdrawals from day one, no maximum amount, and a buffer.
  • PRO+: 90/10, end-of-day drawdown and no buffer requirement.
  • Daily payouts typically arrive within one business day, per TPT's FAQ.

What this means: TPT pays faster and without per-payout caps. The5ers caps each payout but can scale your split higher. See prop firm payout rules for how buffers work.
