The Apex Trader Funding EOD Trail $150K is a one-step futures evaluation from Apex Trader Funding. It costs $2,190 one-time on the Standard path, which adds a Performance Account activation fee after you pass, or $2,490 on the No Activation Fee path. Here are its rules in plain English, from Apex's official site and help center checked on 5 November 2026.

What you need to pass

  • Profit target: $9,000 (6%).
  • Daily loss limit: $2,000 (1.33%), fixed during the session.
  • Maximum drawdown: $4,000 (2.67%), an end-of-day trailing limit: the floor is set from your closing balance each day and enforced during the next session.
  • Max contracts: 12 minis or 120 micros.
  • Minimum trading days: none. You can pass in one session.
  • Time limit: 30 days of access, with no resets. After passing you have 7 days to activate the Performance Account.

Trading rules

  • Consistency rule: none in the evaluation; 50% on Performance Account payouts (no single day can be 50% or more of profit since the last payout).
  • Banned: hedging evaluation accounts against each other and other prohibited activity in Apex's rules.
  • News trading, holding and automation: check Apex's rules pages before trading around news or holding positions.

What it means in practice

As an illustration, risking 1% of the account per trade ($1,500) gives you room for 2 full losses before the maximum drawdown. Many traders size smaller, around 0.25–0.5%, so one bad day can't end the account. Use our position size calculator to turn a dollar risk into contracts.

Because the floor only moves at the close, you can ride intraday swings, but a strong closing day raises tomorrow's floor. Track it with the drawdown calculator.

Key numbers

  • Target vs drawdown: you need to make $9,000 before you lose $4,000, a ratio of 2.25 to 1.
  • Payouts once funded: 100% split, up to weekly after 5 qualifying days, a $500 minimum and a maximum of six payouts per account.
  • Cost per $1,000 of account: about $14.60 at the Standard list price.
