Our Review
Pros
- One-time evaluation fees with no recurring billing
- Choice of EOD or intraday trailing drawdown, with no daily loss limit on the Intraday evaluation
- No minimum days or consistency rule to pass, and a 100% payout split once funded
Cons
- 30-day evaluation window with no resets
- Activation fee on the Standard path, and the amount is not shown in the help center
- 50% payout consistency rule, per-payout caps and a maximum of six payouts per account
Verdict: Apex Trader Funding relaunched its program on 1 March 2026 with one-time evaluation fees, a choice of end-of-day or intraday trailing drawdown, no consistency rule in the evaluation and a 100% payout split on its Performance Accounts. The catches are a 30-day evaluation window with no resets, an activation fee on the Standard path, a 50% consistency rule and payout caps once funded, and a limit of six payouts per account. It suits futures day traders who can hit a target inside a month and want to run several accounts.
Plans and prices
Apex sells two evaluation types, each in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes, and each on two payment paths: Standard, which charges a one-time Performance Account (PA) activation fee after you pass, or No Activation Fee, which costs more up front. Every evaluation is a one-time fee with no rebill. Evaluations stay active for 30 days and cannot be reset.

When we checked on 5 November 2026, Apex was running a site-wide sale: 90% off all evaluations with code SAVENOW, shown with a countdown ending in about six days. During the sale a 50K Intraday Standard evaluation costs $24.90. Apex also sells five-packs. Sale prices change often, so check the price at checkout.
Apex's help center confirms the PA activation fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment per account, but the amount is not shown on the pages we checked. Confirm it at checkout before choosing the Standard path. Compare the total cost against other futures firms with our prop firm cost calculator.
Evaluation rules
Both evaluations are one step: reach the profit target without touching the drawdown. There is no minimum number of trading days, so you can pass in one session, and no consistency rule or scaling applies during the evaluation.
- Profit target: $1,500 (25K), $3,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K), $9,000 (150K).
- Max drawdown: $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,000.
- Intraday Trail: the threshold trails your peak balance in real time, including unrealized profit, and never moves down. There is no daily loss limit.
- EOD Trail: the threshold is set once a day from your end-of-day balance and enforced during the next session. A daily loss limit applies: $500, $1,000, $1,500 and $2,000.
- Max contracts: 4, 6, 8 and 12 minis (10 micros per mini).
- Time limit: 30 days of access. After passing you have 7 days to activate the PA.
- Banned: hedging evaluation accounts against each other and other prohibited activity listed in Apex's rules.
Performance Account and payouts
The PA is a simulated funded account of the same size and drawdown type. On the Intraday PA, the trailing drawdown stops once it reaches the drawdown amount plus $100, a tier-based daily loss limit applies, and contract limits drop to 2, 4, 6 and 10 by size, with tier-based scaling.
- Payout split: 100% of approved payouts.
- Frequency: up to weekly. You need 5 qualifying trading days, which need not be consecutive, each with a minimum daily profit ($100 to $300 on Intraday PAs and $100 to $350 on EOD PAs, by size).
- Consistency: no single profitable day can be 50% or more of profit since your last approved payout.
- Safety net: you must stay above the drawdown limit plus $100, and only profit above it can be withdrawn. The minimum payout is $500.
- Caps: each PA pays out at most six times, with per-payout caps that rise from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on size and payout number. After the sixth payout the PA closes.
Legacy accounts
Accounts bought before 1 March 2026 stay on the old rules and recurring billing until cancelled. Apex is also selling legacy evaluations again for a limited time. This review covers the new products only.
Who it suits
Apex fits traders who can reach a target quickly, want a 100% split and like running several accounts. Traders who need more than 30 days, want resets, or plan to build one large long-term account may prefer a firm without a payout limit per account. Read our scoring method and the rule changes log.
